National Heritage Monument
National Heritage Monument This is an image of part of the National Heritage Monument. This was taken at the opening of the first phase of the project at the Oliewenhuis Museum in Bloemfontein. This project, headed up by Koketso Growth under the leadership of Dali Tambo, consists of life-size bronze artworks of freedom fighters that have played an integral role in defining South Africa as a true democracy. The Monument is now housed at Fountains Valley in Pretoria. South African sculptors including Xhanti Mpakama, Guy du Toit, Egon Tania, Angus Taylor, Louis Olivier, Cobus Haupt and Zelda Stroud. | |
