Weltevreden Estate

Weltevreden Estate lies just outside of Stellenbosch. It is an estate that is steeped in history, and acts as a luxurious landscape for numerous commissioned pieces by Janse van Vuuren.

The central work, It's me, welcomes guests to the estate. The epic work represents the strength and simultaneous vulnerability of being.

The other large scale work on the estate, Monument to the immemorable, acts as a homage to the nameless individuals whose actions have led to positive changes in the world (even though their names have been forgotten and their stories remain untold).
