If we only celebrate women once a year, without examining the conditions in which they continue to live, the celebration becomes incomplete. Happy Women’s Day… In Pursuit of a Glimmer invites us to look beneath the celebration while remaining open to moments of light. Those glimmers that remind us transformation begins with reflection, accountability, and hope. In doing so, the exhibition proposes that Women’s Day is not only an occasion to honour women’s past and present contributions, but also an opportunity to imagine the conditions under which women, and society as a whole, can live with greater dignity, safety, and possibility.
