It is not about escaping the past, but choosing how to carry, transform, or resist it.
In Repair of the Present, artists shift from contesting institutions to questioning the archive; who preserves culture, who tells the story, and how memory is held. Sovereignty is expressed through control over visibility and narration, and even through refusal. Strictly RSVP at gallery@nwu.ac.za
