Journey to Still Life - A Wine and Art Experience with Marrianna Booyens and Neethlingshof Estate

Posted on 20 July 2023

Artist Marrianna Booyens will be guiding you through this journey. She will be teaching a demo on how to approach a still life. Learn about colours, composition, and using 3 tones to bring objects to life. And have fun along the way!

Words from the artist:

"This is an invitation to come and slow down a bit, to engage all your senses and experience a unique table, laid out as a Still Life that an artist would love to paint. Think of Cobalt Blues and deep oranges, the sunny yellow of a lemon, the taste and smell of good bread, cheeses and butter...and of course, some really good wine. Add into this a creative mix of learning to express what inspires you...whether novice or advanced. To paint or portray even a little part of a beautiful Still life can be a rewarding, exhilirating and intriquing affair. An affair of the heart, full of colour, and joy, and sounds that vibrate life and goodness".
